Stream overlay setup
Add your downloaded DBD Meta build card to Streamlabs Desktop or OBS.
This guide covers the perk build card only. For All Perk Streak progress, use the streak overlay URL instead.
1. Create your card
Open the Stream build card editor, enter your build name, killer or subtitle, four perk names, and an optional footer. Optionally upload perk icons (PNG, JPG, or WebP). Without icons, numbered diamonds appear.
Choose 14-second timed mode to clear the HUD before the match, or stay visible until you hide the source.
2. Download the overlay file
Click Download stream overlay. Your browser saves DBD-Meta-Build-Card.html. Move it to a permanent folder (for example Stream Assets) — do not point Streamlabs at the editor page on Dead by Daylight Meta.
The downloaded file is self-contained: icons are embedded as base64. It works offline and makes no network requests while on stream.
3. Add a Browser Source
- In Streamlabs or OBS, add a Browser Source to your lobby or gameplay scene.
- Enable Local file (or equivalent) and select
DBD-Meta-Build-Card.html. - Set width 1920 and height 1080. Leave the background transparent.
- Fit to your canvas if you stream at another 16:9 resolution — the card scales from the top-left.
- Enable Refresh browser when scene becomes active so the entrance animation replays when you switch scenes.
To replay the animation in the same scene, open the browser source properties and refresh the cache or page. For persistent mode, toggle the source visibility or assign a hotkey.
4. After you change the build
Edit the card on Dead by Daylight Meta, download again, replace the file your browser source points to (or select the new download), then refresh the browser source. Editing the preview alone does not update the file on disk.
Placement tips
- Designed for lobby and pre-match — the lower band can cover DBD HUD elements.
- Use timed mode or hide the source before the trial starts.
- Perk names are manual — this tool does not read loadouts from the game or Behaviour accounts.
